Position: Facility Security Officer with Security Clearance
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Facility Security Officer (FSO) to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA. This is an onsite position. Responsibilities:
* Administer and coordinate all aspects of the industrial security program to ensure compliance with government and company security policies

* Develop and maintain security procedures, including the creation of manuals and training programs for site employees

* Conduct thorough internal investigations and security audits to protect organizational properties and sensitive information

* Respond to and manage contingency events, such as environmental threats or security breaches, in coordination with law enforcement

* Oversee the selection and management of external security contractors and guard forces to maintain onsite safety

* Analyze standard security problems and implement effective solutions using established precedents and professional judgment

* Provide guidance to new associates on security protocols while supporting the overall quality and integrity of the team's work

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study

* 5+ years of professional experience in industrial security or a related discipline

* Proven knowledge of government security standards and the ability to apply them in a corporate environment

* Experience in conducting internal investigations and risk assessments to safeguard company assets

* Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex security information in straightforward situations

* Proficiency in managing emergency response protocols and coordinating with government law enforcement agencies

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience managing a contract guard force within a government contracting environment

* Advanced understanding of key business drivers and their impact on organizational security needs

* Certification as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) through the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency

* Ability to work independently with a moderate level of guidance while solving a range of straightforward problems Clearance Requirements:
* An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.

Physical Requirements:

* Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

* Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

* Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations
