Account Manager – Skill Ops
Base salary and incentive compensation ($70,000 - $85,000).
Travel expectations – based at Virginia Beach, VA office + 10% local travel.
Skill Ops is a nationally recognized training organization empowering clients with world‑class IT and Leadership training and certification. Founded in 1988, Skill Ops has been designing and delivering training solutions for State/Local/Federal Government Agencies, DoD, Military Contractors, Regional Businesses, and Large Commercial Corporations for over 28 years.
We are currently seeking an Account Manager to manage existing accounts as well as uncover and acquire new business opportunities in both the private and government sectors. As an Account Manager, you will be selling our Infotec technology training products as well as the Dale Carnegie Professional Leadership courses for southeastern Virginia.
Responsibilities- Making outbound prospecting calls
- Meeting with business leaders to discuss their workforce and talent objectives
- Providing ongoing follow-up for customer support
- Familiarity with the GSA Schedule and associated Regulations
- Uncover partnerships and create teaming arrangements with Government Contractors Primes
- Conduct IT and Leadership Assessments
- Meet and exceed Sales quota
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications preferred.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in professional sales and marketing, preferably working experience with Department of Defense (DoD), military and other federal government bids
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Sales Force CRM.
- High level of professionalism, diplomacy and tact
- Ability to effectively use CRM
- Highly motivated and goal-oriented with a strong desire to succeed in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent presentation skills, verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work effectively both independently as well as part of a team.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Self-starting with solid follow-through and multi-tasking capabilities.
- Well-developed technological skills (PC, Internet, MS Office, CRM, Mobile).
