Store Environment Team Member

Store - VA BCH-RED MILLS, VA

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
• Dust and mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and return them to correct placement.
• Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment. May require mixing water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
• Deep clean key areas of the store including but not limited to bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways and other high‑traffic areas to maintain a clean, safe environment for customers and staff.
• Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly; notify supervisor of supply needs in advance for replenishment.
• Seek out areas requiring cleaning; take initiative to complete tasks.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
• Maintain positive and respectful interactions with both team members and customers, even in difficult situations, in keeping with the organization’s vision and values.
• Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other Team Members.

• Provide a fast and friendly check‑out experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Assist with omni‑channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company policies to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements; execute Company policies and standards.

• Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.

• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to move throughout the store.
• Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching.
• Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
• Public retail store setting; may involve outdoor work to retrieve shopping carts or while unloading trucks.
• Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.

• Climate controlled where possible; some storage areas may not be climate controlled.
• Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
