Responsibilities
Process, package, and stock meat products according to Meat Standards.
Clean work areas; provide customer service unloading stock and reloading salvage.
Perform duties of seafood clerk when assigned.

Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language SkillsAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English; write simple correspondence in English; effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, vendors, and other associates who only speak English.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement.
Reasoning AbilityApply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but simple written or oral instructions; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsComplete company training including new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service network, safety, food safety, and product knowledge.
Physical DemandsRegularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, taste or smell. Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and reach 6–72 inches; frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and reach 6–72 inches. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color, and depth perception.
WorkEnvironment
Generally a cool environment (average 34–36°F) with frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme cold. Noise level usually moderate to loud.
