Bartender

Summary

Position located within Commander, Mid-Atlantic Region, Fleet and Family Readiness Program. Purpose to provide beverage service in a dining room, bar/lounge facility. Also located at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek Brashear Conference and Catering.

• Set up bar for operation, including garnishes for mixed drinks.
• Mix and serve limited variety of alcoholic or nonalcoholic drinks to order, following established recipes.
• Serve patrons directly, receive payment, operate cash register, make and return change to patron.
• At close of facility, complete Daily Activity Report (DAR), verify amount of money collected and drop cashier bag into safe.
• Perform basic cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, wash bar equipment, glassware, utensils, etc., to maintain a constant and clean working area. Ensure all current sanitation requirements are followed and maintained.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• Must pass all applicable records and background check.
• Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Starting May 7, 2025, non-affiliated individuals requesting access will need a REAL
  -compliant driver's license or another acceptable form of identification to access CNRMA Installations (review required documents section for more information).

• Knowledge of basic arithmetic and cash handling procedures to compute changes and make change quickly and accurately.
• Working knowledge of sanitation practices and procedures.
• Mature individual who can exercise control over a large group of people to ensure good order and discipline as necessary.
• Working knowledge and skill to mix and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages from a limited bar.
• Minimum of six months’ experience is strongly preferred.

This position does not have a positive education requirement.

Salary is dependent on experience and/or education.
