Quality Inspector

Location: Virginia Beach, VA

Shift: 1st Shift | 4:30 AM – 3:00 PM | Monday–Thursday

Pay Rate: $21.00+ per hour (based on experience)

Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

Position Overview

We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector to support our operations within the Quality Assurance Laboratory. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of measurement systems used in production.

The ideal candidate will bring hands‑on metrology experience, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to quality and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain measurement equipment including:
    Profile testers (Mahr preferred), Surface roughness testers (Mahr preferred), Hardness testers, Calipers and micrometers.
  • Perform basic CMM programming on ZEISS and HEXAGON machines using Calypso and PC‑DMIS software.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles.
  • Apply general knowledge of automotive core quality tools.
  • Conduct quality process audits and support corrective actions.
  • Support supplier quality administration activities.
  • Promote a strong culture of quality across production teams.
Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures while performing quality and metrology activities.
  • Report safety concerns or incidents and assist with investigations and corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a quality department within metal or automotive manufacturing.
  • Prior experience in a quality laboratory or metrology environment strongly preferred.
