Overview
Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is currently hiring an Education Specialist to support the Nursing Education Department. The role is full-time (40 hours per week), Monday to Friday dayshift, located in Virginia Beach, VA.
ResponsibilitiesThe Education Specialist performs a variety of computer and education project development/management tasks to meet the needs of the educational services to the facility.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and providing classroom and clinical learning experiences
- Teaching, coaching and mentoring on the clinical unit
- Assisting with tutoring and practice with students
- Evaluating student performance
- Collaborating with accredited educational institutions to coordinate placement of students within the organization
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2 years related work experience
- RN license not required for this position
