About the Position
Job Title:
Locum Nurse Practitioner – General Medicine VA
Overview:
Join a vital mission to serve our nation's Veterans as a Locum Nurse Practitioner in General Medicine. This prestigious role offers you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by conducting Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments nationwide. By providing essential healthcare evaluations in a flexible PRN capacity, you will support veterans' benefits while enjoying a dynamic and rewarding work environment.

Required Skills:
Valid Nurse Practitioner license with state-specific certification
Experience in general medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, or related fields
Strong interview and physical assessment skills, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
Ability to perform non-treatment exams independently and efficiently
Excellent organizational skills for documentation and report submission
Reliable access to your own office space for conducting exams
Ability to adhere to strict schedules and compliance protocols
Nice to Have
Skills:
Prior experience with Compensation & Pension or veteran-related assessments
Familiarity with medical-legal documentation and reporting
Knowledge of VA or military healthcare systems
Certification in additional specialties such as orthopedic surgery or occupational health
Preferred
Education and Experience:
Master's or Doctorate level Nurse Practitioner degree from an accredited program
Minimum of 2 years clinical experience, preferably in general or internal medicine settings
Prior experience conducting administrative or assessment-based exams is advantageous
Other Requirements:
Own a dedicated office space capable of hosting exam assessments
Ability to travel locally within designated VA regions, with travel costs included in rates
Willingness to complete required credentialing, training, and administrative follow-up
Immediate availability for the start date of February 2, 2026
