The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing.
The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
The Pain Management team is a procedure-based department, seeking an experienced nurse to join the team! The nurses on the unit assist with prepping patients, inter-procedure care and post-procedure care for our outpatient facility. The team typically sees between 9-12 patients a day. Anticipated ScheduleMonday-Thursday, 6:30AM-1:30PM (no Fridays/weekends/holidays/call)
Education- RN-Diploma, ASN, BSN or MSN from an accredited school (Required)
- BSN or MSN (Preferred)
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing (Required)
- Basic Life Support Certification (Required within 90 days of hire)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification (Required)
- Procedure or OR nursing experience (strongly preferred)
