Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Observation Unit/2N. As an RN with Sentara, you will assess/admit patients, perform rounding checks, administer medications, communicate with families, and manage overall patient care on a fast‑paced, 6‑8 bed unit that serves patients awaiting discharge or transfer.
Unit Description- Fast‑paced 6–8 bed unit caring for patients preparing for discharge or transfer to another unit.
- Assess and admit patients.
- Perform rounding checks and monitor patient status.
- Administer medications safely.
- Communicate with patients and family members.
- Manage overall patient care and documentation.
- ADN required; BSN or higher preferred.
- Virginia or compact multistate RN license in good standing.
- BLS within 90 days of hire.
- RN experience in a hospital setting.
- Medical, dental, vision plans.
