Full‑time position available. Overseeing the recovery center, Partial Hospital Program, and detox programs in a 100‑bed freestanding psychiatric hospital located near Virginia Beach, Virginia.
ResponsibilitiesAssists the Chief Nursing Officer in the management and support of the Nursing Department and supervising its staff. Provides 24‑hour management, directs and supervises nursing department activities/functions. Develops and maintains program policy and procedure parameters for quality assurance. Assures unit milieu is therapeutic and safe. Plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care. Consults with the Chief Nursing Officer, Administrator, and Medical Director as needed.
Keeps abreast of regulations such as the Commonwealth of Virginia Mental Health Code, ANA, HCFA, OSHA, and TJC rules. Candidate must be available to work weekends, holidays, and on‑call.
- Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the state.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- 3‑5 years related work experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective management and supervisory practices.
- Leadership skills that contribute to a positive work environment.
