General Summary
The Cardiology LPN performs a wide variety of patient care activities and services to support the patients and medical practice. Works in close cooperation with the clinical team including; physicians, APP’s, RN’s and other clinical support staff. Provides clinical care under the supervisor of registered nurses, APP’s and physicians.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Processes patient phone calls/messages and routes to them to providers as appropriate
• Provide tests results to patients along with any updates to current plan of care
• Within scope of practice, completes nurse visits with patients to include; assessment, medication reconciliation, vitals and EKG, evaluation and implementation of clinical care plan as instructed by provider
• Prescription refills
• FMLA, Disability, Surgical Clearances and other forms
• Coordination of outgoing clinical referrals
• Patient education
• Other clinical duties as assigned

• Current state license as a Practical Nurse (LPN) or Practical Nurse holding a valid Compact State License

• Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice
• Cardiology experience preferred, but not required
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required or must be obtained within 60 days of hire
