Intelligence Discipline Lead - Subject Matter Expert

SMX is seeking an Intelligence Discipline Lead - Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide top-tier expertise in the full spectrum of intelligence operations in support of global defense missions. In this pivotal role, you will lead planning, integration, and execution of intelligence activities, ensuring seamless coordination across multiple intelligence disciplines. This is a senior-level position requiring strong leadership, strategic vision, and a deep understanding of intelligence operations in dynamic environments.

This position requires a DoD TS/SCI security clearance which requires US citizenship for work on DoD contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead, oversee, and coordinate all aspects of intelligence activities for multi-discipline teams, ensuring synchronization and mission success

* Develop and implement innovative intelligence strategies, processes, and best practices to address evolving threats and operational requirements

* Advise and support command-level leadership on complex intelligence concepts, risk mitigation, and resource prioritization

* Mentor, train, and guide intelligence professionals and subordinate experts, fostering growth and operational excellence

* Produce, review, and present high-quality briefings, reports, and assessments to senior audiences

* Facilitate interagency and cross-functional collaboration across diverse intelligence domains (HUMINT, SIGINT, GEOINT, etc)

* Ensure compliance with applicable standards, policies, legal requirements, and ethical guidelines

* Support deployment requirements; must be willing and able to deploy to austere or high-threat environments as necessary

Required

Skills & Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Intelligence, National Security, International Relations, or a related field

* Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in intelligence operations, with demonstrable expertise leading multi-discipline intelligence teams

* Proven subject matter expertise across intelligence disciplines and excellent understanding of the intelligence cycle

* Strong experience briefing and advising senior leaders and stakeholders

* Superior communication, organizational, and leadership skills

* Proficiency with intelligence analysis and collaboration tools

* Must be willing and able to deploy as needed to CONUS and OCONUS locations

* Must possess a current US passport

* Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance

The SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications. The proposed salary for this position is:

$98,000-$153,000 USD
