- You will serve as a Surface Training Advanced Virtual Environment (STAVE) Virtual Maintenance Trainer (VMT) Software Engineer or Battle Force Tactical Training/Advanced Training Domain (BFTT/ATD) Software Engineer for NSWCDD Dam Neck Naval Facility.
- You will independently manage complex software development tasks and provide advanced software engineering knowledge for various projects.
- You will provide advanced technical support to development testing activities to include software test procedure development, regression testing, and test report generation.
- You will provide technical leadership both within and outside of the organization, directly interacting with customers and external partners to define needs, negotiate solutions, and build collaborative relationships.
- You will be responsible for strategic planning, securing future work, and ensuring the technical readiness of customers.
- You will mentor junior engineers to promote a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 621, proficiency level Intermediate the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition
Functional Area
and category assigned to the position is required within established category time frames. - This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Key Leadership Position (KLP). Unless specially waived by the appropriate official, the selectee must execute, as a condition of appointment, a written agreement to remain in Federal service in the position for at least three (3) years.
