We are seeking an experienced IT Program Manager with a strong background in the retail industry, specializing in business separation, spin-offs, and merger & acquisition (M&A) activities. The ideal candidate will lead the IT separation and transition efforts for a retail organization divesting or spinning off a specific business unit. This role requires hands-on expertise in PMO governance, vendor management, and the use of enterprise software tools to manage complex separation projects across applications, infrastructure, and business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage end-to-end IT Separation and Transition projects as part of a larger retail spin-off, carve-out, or divestiture initiative.

Define and execute separation strategy for IT systems, applications, and infrastructure, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing retail operations.

Oversee PMO functions—governance, planning, risk management, issue tracking, and reporting—to ensure timely and successful delivery.

Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define Day 1 / Day 2 operating models and transition service agreements (TSAs).

Manage vendor relationships and ensure external partners deliver per contractual obligations during separation and migration activities.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams (network, security, data, applications, ERP, and retail systems) to execute the separation roadmap.

Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance standards are maintained throughout the separation process.

Utilize software tools (e.g., Service Now, Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project, SharePoint, Power BI) to manage project progress, reporting, and communication.

Drive post-separation stabilization and ensure IT continuity for the newly independent business entity.

Partner closely with finance, HR, legal, and operations teams to align IT separation with business objectives.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in Program/Project Management within the Retail or Consumer Goods domain.
• Proven experience managing IT Separation, Carve-Out, Spin-Off, or M&A Integration initiatives.
• Strong PMO experience – governance setup, process standardization, and executive reporting.
• Experience in vendor management and third-party service coordination during large-scale transformations.
• Familiarity with retail systems (POS, ERP, eCommerce, supply chain, merchandising, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with project tracking and reporting tools like Service Now, Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project, Confluence, or Power BI.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-vendor, multi-project environment under tight deadlines.
