Commissioning Specialist

This role is responsible for the final testing and commissioning of complex Audio-Visual systems during and after the build phase. It involves providing technical and management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments, while establishing goals and plans that align with project objectives. The position works closely with the Project Manager to deliver documented test results from system testing and commissioning.

Responsibilities include interpreting electronic schematics and architectural blueprints, testing point-to-point functionality, and reviewing the Scope of Work to ensure quality and completeness. The role requires testing integrated systems, troubleshooting AMX/Crestron and DSP systems, and performing field installation of control programs. Additional duties include writing DSP code, making minor programming changes under direction, fine-tuning audio-video systems for optimal performance, and configuring IP addressable devices for network communication.

The position also involves client training, preparing final job documentation, acting as a customer liaison when needed, and managing project punch lists. Travel to various job sites is required.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in the AV industry

Experience with AV installation and programming
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with Crestron, AMX, Qsys, Biamp, Extron, Teams, Zoom, Polycom, etc.
AV network exp (Terminate and test network cabling, set up IP address, etc.)
