Part-Time Veterinary Assistant – Urgent Care

We are hiring an experienced Part‑Time Veterinary Assistant to work in our Urgent Care department. This position covers Friday and Saturday shifts from 11am – 9pm.

Pay: $17.50 – $25.00 per hour. This pay band is a starting point and depends on experience and advancement through our leveling system.

• Provide high quality patient care.
• Monitor, manage, and implement treatment plans as ordered by clinicians to ensure prompt delivery of high‑quality care to inpatient cases.
• Identify and communicate changes in patient condition to members of the patient care team.
• Collaborate with clinicians throughout the hospital to coordinate and prioritize patient care.
• Clean and maintain clinical areas including treatment and patient housing areas.
• Facilitate the maintenance of clinical equipment by identifying malfunctioning equipment and scheduling service.
• Assist clinicians with procedures.
• Complete diagnostic testing as ordered by clinicians.
• Coach and mentor junior staff members as directed by supervisory staff.
