Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center is a 100-bed acute care, inpatient psychiatric facility for adults in Virginia Beach, Virginia. VBPC offers specialty mental health treatment for older adults, chronically mentally ill, and substance abuse/detox programming.

The Milieu Manager serves as a key link between the Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center leadership and the care teams, promoting uniform standards across residential and clinical services. They guide and mentor direct care staff, offering clinical oversight and support for best practices. The Milieu Manager organizes staff schedules, assigns team members to units, and ensures smooth communication among flex pool staff.
Job Duties /Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to direct care staff
- Work in association with DON, CEO, and Director of Clinical Operations to ensure consistency in care provided by the residential care staff and clinical staff
- Implement programming and provide ongoing training and supervision to create and maintain a safe and therapeutic milieu
- Coordinate and assign direct care staff to various units, and facilitate accurate communication among flex pool staff
- Assist with daily time and attendance

- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Psychology preferred
- Minimum of two years’ experience working in a psychiatric facility required
- One year supervisory experience in a psychiatric facility preferred
- Handle with Care, CPR, and First Aid Certifications required
- Valid driver’s license required
