Communicate & Connect Counseling is expanding!

We are currently seeking therapists to provide Emotionally Focused Family Therapy. This position is an in-person position at our Virginia Beach Office location, with options to provide telehealth sessions as well.

Communicate & Connect Counseling is an Emotionally Focused Therapy training clinic with locations in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Fairfax, Virginia. We are a private pay practice that specializes in providing EFT Couples Therapy to Military and Veteran families. We provide Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) and Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) as well.

Communicate & Connect Counseling provides high-quality, attachment-based therapy and professional training in Emotionally Focused Couple, Individual, and Family Therapy. To expand access to Emotionally Focused Therapy by establishing 20 EFT training clinics in the top 20 military cities—supporting couples, individuals, families, and clinicians serving military-connected communities.

Office space is divided into shifts. Each shift is blocked off for 6 hours, with the expectation of 5 clinical hours and breaks.

Shifts options include the following:

• Monday - Friday 8 AM - 2 PM
• Monday - Friday 2:30 PM - 8:30 PM
• Saturday and Sunday between 9 AM - 4 PM

We require a minimum of 3 shifts (15 billable hours per week) for part-time employment, and are currently prioritizing applicants who would like to build up to full time employment at 5 shifts per week (25 billable hours per week).

The ideal candidate:

• has a Doctorate or Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work.
• is independently licensed (or provisionally licensed) in the State of Virginia as an LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist.
• has prior experience or training working with military and veteran families.
• has completed an ICEEFT Externship in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy or ICEEFT Essentials Training in Emotionally Focused Family or Individual Therapy. (We do have training options available for those who haven't completed the training yet but who are interested).

The pay scale varies by level of education, licensure, and experience. As an hourly W2 employee, the starting pay is $78 per clinical hour for a fully licensed masters level therapist and $20 per administrative hour.

We are open to taking on provisionally licensed therapists and the starting pay is $61 per clinical hour for a provisionally licensed masters level therapist under supervision toward clinical licensure and $20 per administrative hour.

Pay rates increase to $101 per clinical hour and $20 per administrative hour for clinicians certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy or Certified as an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist.

Opportunities for additional pay for providing clinical supervision to provisionally licensed therapists and/or student interns are also available.
