The Jordan-Young Institute, an Aligned Orthopedic Partners Company, is a prominent multi-subspecialty orthopedic and spine private practice located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. We are seeking a full‑time Clinical Research Coordinator to assist physicians with clinical research activities.
Responsibilities- Screen and enroll patients in clinical trials.
- Conduct informed consent processes and research visits in clinic.
- Collect and enter data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Manage the IRB process and maintain necessary documentation.
- Support budgeting and contractual aspects of trials (experience helpful but not required).
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from physicians, patients, research staff, and office personnel.
- High level of organization, self‑motivation, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong time‑management skills and ability to work efficiently on multiple tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions.
- Discretion, sound judgment, and tact with confidential information.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Bachelor's degree in health science, related field, or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years of professional clinical research experience.
- Certification with the Association of Clinical Research Professionals, Society of Clinical Research Associates, or intention to obtain within one year.
- Oversight and coordination for sponsored research, including budgeting, invoicing, and payments.
- Experience as a study coordinator for sponsored trials: patient screening, consenting, enrollment, and study protocol management.
- Maintenance of IRB CITI training course.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and research.
- Experience with clinical trial contract and budget negotiation (plus).
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel), email, internet, data entry.
- Ability to transpose information from clinical documents to a computerized database.
