Job Title:
Senior Property Accountant (Track to VP)

Onsite initially → Hybrid (up to 2 days/week) after 6 months

$80,000–$85,000 base salary + performance bonus

Overview

This is an opportunity to step into a high-impact finance position with a respected, family-owned property management organization overseeing hundreds of associations and properties.

The company is intentionally hiring an Account who can grow into senior financial leadership over the next few years as part of a planned succession strategy.

You’ll work directly with the VP of Finance, gain exposure to full-scope financial operations, and help shape the future of the accounting function.

Responsibilities
  • Own and support financial operations across multiple property management associations
  • Maintain and improve general ledger, AR, expense tracking, and internal controls
  • Assist with budget creation, monitoring, and variance analysis
  • Manage and improve the monthly management fee process, including automation
  • Prepare audit materials, financial reports, and board-ready financial statements
  • Analyze financial performance and provide insightful recommendations to leadership
  • Collaborate closely with finance leadership to refine processes, systems, and workflows
  • Attend internal finance meetings and select board meetings as a financial resource
  • Utilize Property management accounting software (CINC preferred)
  • $80K–$85K base salary (direct hire)

Qualifications
  • Experience:

    7–10 years of accounting experience preferred (flexible for strong candidates)
  • Property management/property accounting experience required
  • CPA is a plus, not required
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Solid foundation in financial analysis, budgeting, GL, AR, and expenses
