A rapidly growing, PE‑backed government contractor (approx. $220M and scaling
) is seeking a Corporate Controller to lead a large, high‑performing accounting organization. This role is ideal for an energized, forward‑thinking finance leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, acquisition‑driven environment and knows how to build scalable accounting infrastructure.

Comp: $175K–$225K base + 10–20% bonus (flex higher for exceptional profiles)
As the senior accounting leader, you will own day‑to‑day financial operations, strengthen internal controls, drive process excellence, and serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership. This is a highly visible, high‑impact role with influence across the organization.
What We’re Looking For Must-Have Expertise- Deep Gov Con experience with strong command of FAR, DFARS, CAS, and DCAA requirements
- Deltek Costpoint mastery — configuration, optimization, and automation
- Experience overseeing Incurred Cost Submissions and partnering with auditors
- CPA strongly preferred (top talent without it still encouraged to connect)
- A true mover and shaker — decisive, solutions‑oriented, and not afraid to streamline or overhaul processes
- Skilled at building high‑performing teams and developing future leaders
- Comfortable steering finance functions through acquisitions, integrations, and rapid change
- Oversee FAR/DFARS/CAS/DCAA compliance, indirect rate development, and ICS submissions
- Serve as the primary point of contact for DCAA audits
, government inquiries, and system reviews - Ensure compliant job cost accounting, labor charging, and billing (e.g., WAWF, progress payments)
- Lead all daily accounting functions and full close cycles
- Deliver accurate GAAP‑compliant and government‑compliant financial statements
- Maintain internal controls aligned with CMMC, audit standards, and risk frameworks
- Provide reporting packages, dashboards, KPIs, and actionable insights to leadership
- Oversee system configuration, automation, workflow enhancements, and control design
- Strengthen audit trails, segregation of duties, and scalable system processes
- Lead cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and liquidity planning
- Support M&A diligence and post‑acquisition integration
- Provide reporting and support for audit, tax, and regulatory engagements
- Lead, mentor, and develop a large finance and accounting team
- Champion continuous improvement, operational excellence, and accountability
- Train stakeholders on compliant cost accounting and audit readiness
- 15+ years progressive accounting/finance experience, including 10+ years in Gov Con leadership
- Proven experience leading full accounting departments in multi‑contract, high‑growth environments
- CPA required (strong preference for candidates with Gov Con audit/advisory background)
- Expertise in GAAP, FAR, DFARS, DCAA compliance
, and complex cost structures - Advanced proficiency in Deltek Costpoint
- Ability to lead through change, scale systems, and drive operational efficiency
- Eligibility to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance
