Pennoni Associates is currently seeking an Associate Transportation Civil Engineer to join our team in our Virginia Beach, VA office. With experience consistent, but not limited to:
- Work as a part of design team in the successful project delivery for clients including VDOT, NCDOT, and agencies in the Mid‑Atlantic Region and locally administered transportation projects in Virginia.
- Project types include transportation improvement projects, safety improvement projects, bridge replacement projects and multi‑use trail projects.
- Micro Station Connect, Open Roads Designer (ORD) and Project Wise (PW) experience or Autodesk/Civil 3‑D experience
- Highway and roadway design experience using Micro Station Connect, ORD and PW
- Bluebeam PDF editor experience a plus; GIS experience a plus
- Hydrology and Hydraulic (H&H) design experience
- Drainage design, SWM and ES&C design experience. CCR certification a plus
- Utility Design, water and sanitary sewer utility layout and lighting design
- Developing Maintenance of Traffic schemes, Construction Phasing and Traffic Control Plans
- Developing project cost estimates and specifications, including Special Provisions.
- Construction consultation experience
- Excellent communication skills – both oral and written.
- Experience with preparing technical reports and memorandums.
