Join Us for an Exciting Summer! We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Engineering team as a Industrial Engineering intern.
As an Industrial Engineering intern, you will be exposed to hands-on workforce analysis and process evaluation initiatives that support effective staffing and operational planning.
This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with Assembly and Industrial Engineering teams to better understand skill requirements across production lines and translate that information into actionable insights.
In this role, you will work closely with the Assembly group and Industrial Engineering to document work content at each assembly station, develop a skill-scoring system, and analyze skill requirements across assembly lines. You will then synthesize your findings and present insights that help inform staffing strategies and workforce planning decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Assembly group and Industrial Engineering to document work content for each assembly station
- Log and organize workstation data to support consistent analysis across assembly lines
- Develop and apply a scoring system to assign skill levels to each workstation
- Analyze skill requirements across assembly lines to identify staffing needs and complexity levels
- Work with Assembly leadership to validate findings and refine skill assessments
- Prepare and deliver a presentation summarizing insights, conclusions, and recommendations
- Develop a deeper understanding of workforce skill requirements in a manufacturing environment
- Gain hands-on exposure to real-world risk management and staffing challenges
- Build experience working within a large, cross-functional team environment
