ENGINEER​/SCIENTIST

Job Summary:

You will serve as an Engineer or Scientist in the Engineering Branch;
Integrated Training Systems Division of NAVSURFWARCENACT Dam Neck, VA. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND‑5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS‑14 and GS‑15.

• You will serve as the senior systems and software engineering expert within the Integrated Training Systems Division supporting all aspects of Shore‑Based Training System programs.
• You will lead the design, development, and modernization of software and system architectures.
• You will direct technical execution efforts focusing on systems integration and software development, fostering collaboration between government, industry, and academia.
• You will provide expertise on system and advanced software engineering principles, standards, and methods to ensure project deliverables meet modern engineering best practices.
• You will identify, initiate, and lead efforts aimed to gain efficiencies in process improvement, automation, and solving technical challenges that arise during the system engineering and software development life cycles.

For the 0801 Professional Engineering Series:
Degree:
Engineering (ABET accredited or equivalent). OR Combination of education and experience (see detailed criteria in the original announcement).
