What you will be doing- Meet with engineering team to review production schedule and confirm all materials, equipment, and resources.
- Review shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements, and project data.
- Provide technical input for project work plan and scheduling.
- Identify risk elements that could impact the budget or schedule.
- Evaluate weekly and monthly production, schedule, and budget projections to track performance.
- Update project schedule weekly for reporting.
- Prepare and manage a three-week work plan, notifying management of significant schedule changes and developing mitigation solutions.
- Manage all Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Remit accurate project quantities with proper cost coding for financial reporting.
- Coordinate invoicing with the accounting team regarding materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Review certificates and permits required for work.
- Ensure safety compliance by reviewing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and participating in safety meetings.
- Perform project leadership during close-out if the Project Manager is unavailable.
- Review close-out checklist with owner and field crews at project completion.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- 8+ years of construction engineering experience.
- Experience managing construction engineering teams.
- Proven ability managing engineering teams in design-build or alternative project delivery methods.
- Ability to set clear expectations and delegate work effectively.
- Advanced knowledge of contract specifications and quality assurance.
- Ability to identify budget and project costs and suggest mitigation strategies.
- Knowledge of design-build and alternative construction techniques.
- Understanding of financial reporting, quantity tracking, and cost coding.
- Knowledge of construction scheduling and production management is preferred.
