Overview
As a Structures Project Engineer (Marine and Waterfront Structures), you will provide construction support and oversight, and analyze cost data, ensuring our projects stay on budget. Your expertise in resource monitoring and control, combined with your construction knowledge, will keep our project running smoothly and efficiently.
Join our landmark infrastructure project that is expanding one of the East Coast’s most iconic and vital transportation corridors, the Chesapeake Bay Bridge‑Tunnel. This 17.6‑mile bridge‑tunnel complex, recognized as an engineering marvel of the modern world, is undergoing a major design‑build expansion with the construction of the Parallel Thimble Shoal Tunnel to enhance capacity, safety, and reliability for travelers between Virginia Beach and the Eastern Shore.
The new bored tunnel (a first‑of‑its‑kind in the Mid‑Atlantic) is being driven by a large TBM and will carry southbound traffic while the existing tunnel will carry northbound traffic, significantly improving traffic flow and operational redundancy. This project offers marine and tunnel engineers an exceptional opportunity to work on challenging marine construction, deep foundation, and tunneling operations that will have a lasting impact on regional mobility and commerce
