Noblis MSD is hiring a Ships Validator to support the U.S. Navy. The position is based in Virginia Beach, VA.
OverviewNoblis MSD supports the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) in research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in‑service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, logistics, and life‑cycle savings.
Responsibilities- Go onboard aircraft carriers and other ship classes for equipment validation.
- Safely and efficiently climb ship ladder wells and lift up to 50 lbs., maintaining maritime safety standards.
- Provide life‑cycle logistics and ILS support for all hull, mechanical and electrical (HM&E) systems and equipment across the U.S. Navy.
- Collect and analyze data to provide metrics for ILS feedback reports.
- Review HM&E ILS drawings and add logistics data to availability baseline reports (ABRs).
- Update and develop COP files / change notices in CDMD‑OA and MBPS.
- Research navy part numbers, NSNs, and APLs.
- Assist in integrating supporting ILS documentation for all HM&E systems and equipment.
- Communicate with NAVSEA clients regularly to provide logistics feedback.
- Provide monthly ILS status and metrics reports; facilitate meetings and program reviews.
- Work with various DoD logistics databases.
- Adhere to Navy safety, security, and configuration management standards during all shipboard and facility‑based work activities.
- Bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years hands‑on experience with U.S. Navy shipboard systems and equipment; or an associate’s degree and 3 years experience; or a high school diploma and 6 years experience.
- U.S. citizen with a DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Prior experience in ship validations of various equipment on different ship types.
- Experience working with U.S. Navy shipboard systems and equipment.
- Familiarity with aircraft carriers and navigating onboard.
- Planning and scheduling shipboard work activities, including material tracking and coordination with shipyard or field activities.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites if needed.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications.
- Active Secret clearance preferred.
- Experience working in Navy Data Environment (NDE), Remedy, Logiquest, Haystack, PMSMIS, TDMIS.
- Experience completing ILS certifications and COP files/change notices.
- Experience with CDMD‑OA and/or MBPS.
- Experience identifying material and logistic requirements for ship alteration and repair.
Posted Salary Range: USD $48,510.00 – USD $75,780.00 /Yr.
