We’re a growing civil engineering firm with a strong footprint across Virginia, and we’re looking for a Senior Water Resources Project Manager who can own complex projects, lead teams, and be a trusted technical voice for clients and agencies alike.
This is not a back‑office role. This is a lead-from-the-front position.
What You’ll Be Doing- Drive stormwater, drainage, floodplain, and watershed projects from concept through construction
- Serve as Project Manager of Record
—own scope, schedule, budget, and delivery - Lead and mentor engineers and designers (and actually enjoy it)
- Coordinate with municipalities, VDOT, FEMA, and regulatory agencies
- Provide technical expertise in hydrologic & hydraulic modeling (HEC‑RAS, HEC‑HMS, SWMM, etc.)
- Support business development, proposals, and client relationships
- 10+ years of water resources / civil engineering experience
- Deep experience with stormwater management, floodplain analysis, and drainage design
- Strong project management instincts—you know how to run work, not just design it
- Comfortable leading clients, teams, and meetings
- Experience with Virginia localities, regulations, and permitting is a big plus
- Senior‑level authority with real decision‑making power
- Diverse, technically challenging projects across Virginia
