Our Physical Security Engineers work on various projects as assigned by a Department Manager or Lead Engineer. This position will play a role in the entire design process including but not limited to:

• preliminary assessments
• concept creation
• leading designs with support from your peers, SME’s, and BIM designers
• internal and external problem resolution
• drawing and specification production
• customer and vendor accessibility

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering projects on time and collaborating closely with our security technology team. Your responsibilities include:

• leading security design efforts
• creating schematics, schedules, and plan drawings
• performing calculations for video storage, bandwidth usage, and power loads
• contributing to cross‑discipline coordination
• identifying potential conflicts or inconsistencies with architectural, civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams

Qualifications:

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical/scientific discipline; master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.
• Professional security certifications (CISSP, CPP, PSP, etc.) are a plus.
• 12+ years of professional experience in planning, designing, and commissioning physical security systems and/or communication networks; project management experience is a plus.
• In‑depth knowledge of physical security systems, including video surveillance, access control, biometric systems, and intrusion detection, and familiarity with leading manufacturers.
• Experience with conducting vulnerability and risk assessments, with an understanding of various assessment methodologies.
• Ability to evaluate emerging security technologies and analyze trade‑offs.
• Strong understanding of network technologies and cybersecurity principles.
• Exceptional problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and provide/receive constructive feedback.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam and design collaboration tools.
• Experience with Revit, ACC, BIM
  360, AutoCAD, and/or Micro Station.
• Thorough knowledge of CSI design and construction specifications.
• Experience estimating and scheduling mid‑to‑large‑scale project design effort.
• Knowledge of construction cost estimating for security implementation.

Preferred:

• Experience leading projects and managing resources.
• Experience mentoring junior staff.
• Design management experience.
• Design experience in data centers.
