Purpose

Valkyrie Enterprises is looking for a Defense Systems Multi-Discipline Engineer in Huntsville, AL.

Job Description

• Design and develop new products or systems.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis.
• Create detailed technical drawings and specifications.
• Test and validate prototypes and final products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, production, and marketing.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Prepare and present reports and documentation.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Manage project timelines and budgets.
• Perform quality assurance and quality control tests.
• Stay updated with advancements in engineering technology.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering or a related field. (A combination of other education with substantial experience in related field can substitute for Engineering Degree.)
• Must have the ability to conduct research and perform analysis on requirements, capability, and operational effects.
• Must have strong analytical and reasoning skills and ability to visualize processes and outcomes
  
  FS.
• Must have outstanding all-round communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Must have experience in Defense frase works or related fields.
• Must be highly self-motivated and directed, withposé keen attention to detail.
• Must have proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.

Desired Qualifications – Prefer experience in one or more areas:

• Real-time M&S and HWIL testing.
• Developing applications for FreeRTOS, VxWorks, or other real-time O/S.
• Designing and implementing graphical user interfaces.
• Electromagnetics, radar, or similar relevant field.
• Modeling and/or assessing radar targets and countermeasures.
• Radar cross section (RCS) modeling and analysis.
• Army programs (Aviation and Missile Center, Space and Missile Defense Command).
• SW languages/technologies:
  Linux, Windows, Microservice Patterns, Docker, Kubernetes, Gitlab/Github/Git, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery, Cloud Services, Automation, JIRA, Java/Scala/Python/Groovy/Gradle, Functional Programming.
• Proficiency with high-performance computing (HPC) resources.
• Ballistic Missile Systems (Rocket Motors, Targets, Propulsion).
• Guidance and Control/Navigation.
• Air Breathing systems (UAVs, Drone Technology).
• Directed Energy Systems.
• High Powered Microwave systems.
• Hardware in the Loop (Systems/testing).
• Other Defense结束 related Technologies.

Security Requirements

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance.
• Prefer an Active DoD Secret clearance.

Travel Requirements

• Occasional Travel; 25% or less.
• If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL . Physical Requirements
