Your impactSupport our Design‑Build water clients across the U.S. and have a hand in transforming tomorrow. As the Water/Wastewater Project Engineer, you will protect one of our planet’s most precious resources. You’ll work full‑time onsite with the Jacobs design‑build team, vendors and subcontractors to schedule and coordinate work between trades while ensuring technical documentation (submittals, RFIs, design changes, and record documents) is up to date.

- Natural self‑starters with the ability to identify issues and collaborate as necessary toward resolution.
- Working directly and cohesively with both the design team and construction team for efficient issue resolution.
- Opportunities on projects across the country, especially in California, at project completion.
- Work with vendors, subcontractors and Engineering to achieve timely submittal approval.
- Coordinate RFIs to resolution with the assistance of the Engineering team.
- Expedite equipment to ensure on‑time delivery.
- Coordinate and maintain the schedule associated with responsible scope.
- Manage and maintain as‑built drawings and documentation.
- Assist with monthly cost projections for subcontractors and vendors.
- Support project plan implementation for quality, change management, and safety.
- Create and distribute meeting agendas, attend meetings, take notes, and publish notes and action item lists.
- At least 3 years of Project Engineering experience within water/wastewater.
- Bachelor of Science in an applicable field.
- Construction project internships/experience.
- Working knowledge of construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
