OpportunityJoin a highly skilled team of TAG Engineering Division professionals to provide on‑site and remote engineering services, technical training support and development of unique products to fuel the customers’ mission.
OverviewThe primary responsibilities of the Senior Engineer include the design, development, documentation, integration, testing and manufacturing support of various unique systems. Successful candidates will work directly with multi‑disciplinary engineers and technicians to develop and manufacture new products based on customer specifications and market requirements. The candidate will also be responsible for the development and instruction of technical training curriculum to customers with both technical and non‑technical backgrounds.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Rapidly develop customer solutions by evaluating customer requirements, validating existing capability, or define, design, develop and implement system modifications to meet requirements that are not met by existing systems
- Provide engineering development support for the lifecycle management of unique digital, analog, embedded and RF systems
- Apply advanced RF, mechanical and electronic engineering knowledge to develop, implement and test creative solutions to meet or exceed customer requirements
- Experience utilizing digital communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, I2S and UART for sensor system development
- Create technical presentations and curriculum for instruction of technical courses to customers from various backgrounds
- Able to manage the manufacturing and production process for R&D products developed through the Engineering Division
- Capable of managing groups of multi‑disciplinary engineers and technical personnel working in remote locations
- Able to travel up to 25% within CONUS for customer support
- Required:
Bachelor’s degree (from an ABET accredited college/university in an engineering or scientific discipline) and 8+ years’ technical relevant experience - Desired:
Master’s degree in an engineering or scientific discipline
- Firm grasp of engineering first principles such as power, thermal, data sizing, and bandwidth
- Knowledge and experience developing digital, analog, embedded and RF systems using modern technology
- Experience in PCB development utilizing ECAD tools such as Altium Designer
- Firmware development and programming experience with C, C++ and Python languages
- Knowledge and experience with SDR and custom waveform development
- Development experience with MCAD tools such as Solidworks
- Experience developing test methods to characterize and validate system performance
- Must possess organized, logical thought process skills, exhibit a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
