Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking an Engineering Designer in Virginia Beach, VA. The position will provide drafting and design drawing support for modernization and upgrade initiatives for Navy Ship Self Defense Systems (SSDS).

• Familiar with ASME drawing standards.
• Use government provided redline drawings to update technical data packages (TDPs) and drawings for final release.
• Provide quality control checks on various TDPs.
• Update and maintain drawing tracking databases.
• Update current 3D models in Inventor to capture changes.
• Support onsite drawing activities at Dam Neck Annex Base.

• 3+ years experience with naval systems and/or SSDS and a high school diploma.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Project and Excel).
• Experience working with AutoCAD and Inventor software.

• Certification from an accredited Technical School in the Drafting/Design field, preferred.
• Experience with Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), preferred.
• Experience with working on Dam Neck Annex Base, preferred.

• Must have an Active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to maintain a clearance.
• Must maintain clearance eligibility to access military facilities, naval shipyards, and private shipyards.

• Less than 10%.
• If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL . • Must be able to work in an office, industrial, or shipboard environment.
• Be able to lift and move materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one-man lift.
• Must be able to perform site surveys and carry a laptop computer.
