Surface Ship Combat Systems – Systems Engineer

GVI Inc., a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking an Engineer, Systems IV.

Position Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering support for formal and informal Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs) for the purpose of documenting technical requirements, synthesizing certifiable designs, assessing performance and risk, and ensuring Test and Readiness systems are on track to achieve deployment with required capabilities.

• Host or attend Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), program Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, Working Groups (WGs) supporting tactical and training systems interfaces, and SETR milestone reviews to verify that products and artifacts conform to requirements and standards; to identify, record and remove defects; to ensure product line factors/issues are considered; and to provide a basis for subsequent product approval at formal SETRs (e.g., System Requirements Review, Software Specification Review, System Functional Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, Test Readiness Review, Production Readiness Review and System Sustainment Reviews).

• Analyze systems to identify interface requirements and recommend solutions for interface problems.

• System Integration:
  Include integration engineering support to the planning and execution of the integration of software and hardware components and elements into the system, including analysis of desired capabilities, objectives, performance specification, and system design/architecture, development, maintenance and documentation of System Functional specifications, and support to Design Verification, Performance Verification and System Verification test events.

• Interface Management:
  Participate in technical reviews to identify and document interface requirements and attributes between connected systems.

Position Requirements:

• Master's level degree in an Engineering discipline
• Ten (10) years of professional experience in systems engineering.
