System Engineer IV (Job ) – Valkyrie Enterprises

Virginia Beach, VA

Immediate need for a System Engineer IV to provide engineering and design support for a combat system evolution and integration initiative, including design, integration, implementation, and maintenance of tactical, engineering, and developmental test equipment suites.

• Perform independent analysis on obsolete and emerging hardware, assessing impact on current systems.
• Analyze performance of hardware and software interfaces and identify alternatives to optimize computer resources and modern hardware solutions.
• Provide acquisition recommendations based on independent analyses.
• Support planning, designing, implementation, and integration of systems hardware components.
• Plan and execute system version upgrade releases and custom interfaces.
• Perform configuration management duties for various Technical Data Packages (TDPs).
• Participate in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting operating systems and software.
• Provide design modifications based on Commercial Off-the-Shelf components for obsolete parts and modernization initiatives.

• Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Excel).
• Experience with SSDS or shipboard systems.
• Experience using CAMEO, JIRA, Confluence and Security+ tools.
• BS degree in Systems, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering from an ABET‑accredited school.
• 10+ years of experience with SSDS, Navy, and/or shipboard systems.

• Must have an Active DoD Secret Security clearance and base access requirements.

• Less than 10% travel.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain required identification credentials (e.g., REAL ) if domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases is required. For more information, see https://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below)..

• Must be able to work in an office, industrial, or shipboard environment.
• Must be able to lift and move materials within one‑man lift guidelines.
• Must be able to perform site surveys and carry a laptop computer.
