Electrical Engineer – HARDESTY & HANOVER CONSTRUCTION SERVICES, LLC – Virginia Beach, VA
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join our Virginia Beach office. We currently have numerous design and inspection assignments for transportation infrastructure related projects within the region.
With over 138 years of experience, H&H is a trusted full‑service infrastructure engineering firm. Clients rely on us for intricate and innovative engineering solutions from planning through construction. Our organization has over 600 employees across 30 offices nationwide.
Responsibilities- Perform electrical design & inspection (e.g., low/high power distribution systems, industrial control systems, lighting).
- Prepare contract plans, special provisions, and engineer’s estimates.
- Review drawings and recommend necessary changes.
- Research design options and document findings for Project Managers.
- Job duties involve a mixture of office and field work.
- BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET‑EAC accredited degree); specialization in Electrical Power Systems preferred.
- Virginia PE preferred or ability to obtain a Virginia PE license.
- Five or more years of experience in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with CAD software.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic and commitment to teamwork both in office and field.
- Willingness to travel for short‑term assignments as needed.
