Construction Inspector Engineer

Collins Engineers, Inc. is an ENR Top 500 Design Firm located in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Pay Range: $60,000 - $100,000 per year based on skills and experience.

This role works under the guidance of the Project Leader (Resident Engineer) and offers growth in construction management with industry leaders.

• Conducting inspections, scheduling, and oversight of heavy highway structural projects.
• Solve technical problems and steward solutions through the delivery process.
• Responsible for monitoring contractor conformance to quality, performance, and specifications for assigned construction activities.
• Perform daily field inspections and maintain inspection records.
• Assist in the completion of reports.
• Keep resident engineer informed of workload and any daily activities.
• Be active in technical societies.
• Proactively interact with the contractor to track crew work and equipment on the project.
• Actively observe and act in an appropriate manner related to safety.
• Field work required, which could include nights and weekends.
• Other duties may be assigned.
