Savvas Learning Company is seeking a part-time Curriculum Specialist to support Program Activation of our 6-12 Literacy curriculum in the Southeast territory (Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Virginia). This position is an Education specialist with deep K-12 knowledge in the assigned content area and will partner with other specialists to deliver introductory product orientation for print, digital and blended programs.

• Deliver Program Activation trainings for new and ongoing customer accounts.
• Provide customer feedback to sales, product, and marketing teams.
• Maintain content level expertise through the Savvas Learning Company certification process and agreed-upon materials.
• Maintain deep knowledge of Savvas print and digital solutions.
• Maintain positive ongoing relationships with customers during activation and provide support or redirection to appropriate Savvas teams to ensure client satisfaction.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times.

• 3+ years of K-12 education experience to include classroom teaching.
• BS or BA;
  Master’s degree preferred.
• Biliterate in English/Spanish preferred.
• Specialty training or advanced certification preferred.
• Expert knowledge of education theory and market trends in 6-12 Literacy.
• Deep knowledge and passion for learning in K-12 education.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver effective presentations in large and small groups.
• Previous experience in selling and servicing in the education market is desirable.
• Experience in public speaking and creating engaging presentations for teachers, parents, district administrators, superintendents, or adoption committees.
• Strong technology skills including use of presentation software and hardware (PC or Mac, whiteboard technology, 1:1 devices) to deliver multimedia presentations.

• Regional travel required; requests may be short-notice.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
• Monitoring and controlling timekeeping and expenses per Savvas Travel and Entertainment policies.
• Collaboration with team members across departments to escalate and address customer satisfaction issues.
• Ability to have pointed conversations with school districts regarding 6-12 Literacy.
• Understanding of sales campaign strategy, market trends, and the full continuum of Savvas services.
