Soccer Shots Virginia Beach/ Hampton Roads is seeking a positive and responsible early childhood coach with a passion for soccer and early childhood education to join our team as a youth soccer coach. Soccer Shots is a program that introduces soccer to children ages 2-8 at preschools and day care centers in the Hampton Roads area. We are currently seeking a great early childhood coach who loves soccer and working with kids to help us run sessions at several centers in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, and Norfolk.

We are prioritizing early childhood educators and soccer coaches who live in and can work in the Virginia Beach and Chesapeake area. Specific job experience in early childhood education is a big plus and highly recommended for this job.
Essential Early Childhood Soccer Coach Qualifications- Responsible – arrives early to set up each session, can handle a group of 10 or more children, keeps accurate attendance, communicates well with site director, teachers, etc.
- Professional – neat in appearance, friendly and courteous with daycare center staff and self-assured.
- Available – having at least two to three weekdays available (mornings and/or afternoons) and/or Saturday mornings (9:00 am - 12:00 pm), and must minimally commit January-May.
- Enthusiastic – must enjoy early childhood education and working with young children, be able to connect with children primarily ages 2-5, and make the Soccer Shots class the best 30-45 minutes of their week.
- Fun – enjoys having fun with young children, being goofy, using imagination, and watching children smile.
- Patient – must be patient with young children.
- Reliable transportation – must have safe and reliable transportation to and from work and a valid driver’s license.
- Background check cleared – must pass a Child Abuse History Clearance and Background Check.
- TB test results
- Ability to effectively teach and manage a class of up to 10 children.
- High School Diploma
- Youth soccer coach experience
- Early Childhood Educator experience
- Childcare experience
- Soccer playing experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or pursuing) in Physical Education, Recreation, or Early Childhood Education
- CPR/First Aid certified or ability to attain if needed
- Previous teaching or early childhood education experience (preferably children ages 2-8)
