ResponsibilitiesThis position will be responsible for assisting the Finance and Accounting Department with many of its administrative and clerical duties.
- Prepare monthly billings for a variety of contract types, including FFP, T&M, and CPFF.
- Support the Invoice Dispute Resolution (IDR) program, including customer setup, documentation, and daily payment application.
- Manage and monitor accounts receivable aging reports to ensure timely collection of payments.
- Provide collections support, communicating with customers regarding outstanding invoices, following up on payments, and resolving billing discrepancies.
- Prepare and analyze monthly unbilled reports.
- Pull and distribute reports required for internal and external audits.
- Perform miscellaneous reconciliations and data validation within Costpoint as assigned.
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the finance and accounting department.
- High School Diploma or GED plus 2–4 years of accounting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of general accounting practices.
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint preferred.
- Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of variables with limited standardization.
- Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.
- Experience applying customer payments.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, with advanced knowledge in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas).
- Experience in billing, preferably in Government contracting.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and remain well organized.
The work environment is an office setting in a climate‑controlled environment. The employee will sit, read, work on a computer, and watch a computer screen for extended periods. Occasionally, the employee may be required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, kneel, or crouch.
