Accounts Payable Clerk

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate and efficient processing of invoices and payments. The ideal candidate will excel in managing high-volume data entry tasks and demonstrate a strong understanding of accounts payable processes.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with processing invoices with accuracy to ensure timely payment.

- Perform high-volume data entry tasks to maintain up-to-date financial records.

- Conduct regular check runs and verify payment details.

- Monitor and reconcile accounts payable transactions to maintain accuracy.

- Assist in resolving discrepancies related to invoices or payments.

- Maintain organized financial documentation for auditing purposes.

- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to address payment inquiries.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.

Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or similar roles.

- Proficiency in coding and processing invoices accurately.

- Strong data entry skills, including handling high-volume tasks.

- Familiarity with check runs and payment processing.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

- Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

- Knowledge of accounting principles and relevant regulations.

- Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members.
