- Responsible for food preparation in accordance with departmental standards, greeting and attending guests in the dining area, cash handling, and serves food.
- Greets each guest upon arrival; receives cash, credit cards, or comps from customers as payment; follows through on cashier ordering process to ensure standards for order taking and a great guest experience.
- Operate cash register: obtain cash from Main Bank and set up cash drawer prior to shift; ensure readiness 10 minutes prior to shift.
- Set up cashier supplies and front-of-house items to support a successful shift (register tape, pens, cookies, cups, etc.).
- Ensure accuracy in computing bills, make correct change, and issue receipts; close register at end of each shift and complete necessary paperwork; return cash to main bank.
- Prepare assigned section for service prior to opening shift; maintain quality service standards and apply cost-control measures (napkins, condiments, scoops, scales, utensils, etc.).
- Work varying positions during the shift (cooking, cashiering, serving, bussing, and dishwashing).
- Adhere to customer service standards and sequence-of-service procedures; complete all assigned side work prior to leaving shift.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment; perform hot and cold food preparation (sauces, butter, accompaniments, garnishes) per recipes and guidelines.
- Maintain knowledge of advanced food preparation, kitchen equipment operation, and safety/sanitation rules; enforce these standards.
- Prepare entrees, vegetables, salads, burgers, and desserts following preparation sheets and provided recipes; coordinate advance preparation using forecasts and headcounts.
- Visually inspect all food sent from kitchen for cleanliness, appetizing appearance, and presentation per standards; conduct daily food temperature checks to ensure safety.
- Ensure quality assurance by inspecting ingredient quality and proper storage; complete preparation records and store food items properly at close of meal service.
- Clean work areas and equipment used in food preparation; ensure others maintain cleanliness; clean dishwashing area and equipment; manage dishwashing cycles and rack operations.
- Assist with trash removal, supply notifications to F&B Manager, and receive deliveries as scheduled.
- Demonstrate knowledge of fire and departmental safety procedures and take necessary precautions for lifting, equipment operation, and knife usage.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills And Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of gaming operations, rules, and regulations.
- Ability to multi-task.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to three years of related experience and/or training in related field.
- Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Must obtain and maintain Serv-Safe certification.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.
- The Team Member will be required to stand for the duration of the shift.
- While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is frequently required to sit or stand; walk; use hands to finger, reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
