Overview

Vinton Baptist Church is a moderate Baptist church located in Vinton, VA. The church is affiliated with both the Baptist General Association of Virginia (BGAV) and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Virginia (CBFVA). Vinton Baptist Church is committed to fostering spiritual growth and actively supporting the local community.

Vinton Baptist Church is seeking a part-time Financial Administrator to join our ministry team. This role is 25 hours/week and provides both financial and administrative support to the church.

• Processing accounts receivable/payable, payroll, and other financial transactions.
• Maintaining accurate records in the general ledger.
• Assisting with budget preparation and reporting.
• Preparing monthly financial review for committees.
• Managing invoices, fund reports, and related documentation.
• Providing general office support, including answering phones and greeting visitors.

• Experience with Quick Books and Excel preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Professional, welcoming demeanor with the ability to greet and assist visitors in a warm and courteous manner.
• Experience in a church or parachurch setting is preferred, but not required.

$20+/hour, based on education and experience.
