RoleThe Quality Manager is responsible for the effective execution, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS). This role ensures that products, processes, and systems consistently meet defined quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory/ISO requirements.
The Quality Manager serves as a key liaison between Quality, Operations, Engineering, and Sales to drive a “right the first time” manufacturing approach, reduce variations, and strengthen process controls.
This position must emphasize hands‑on, quality leadership, data‑driven decision‑making, and systematic problem‑solving through the management of all available resources.
Essential Job Functions &Key Responsibilities Quality Management System
- Execute, maintain, and improve as needed the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Ensure compliance with documented procedures, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Lead internal audits and support external customer audits.
- Drive corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) processes.
- Maintain quality documentation, records, and system integrity.
- Partner with Operations and Engineering to ensure process capability and control
- Review production orders, quality plans, and prints for accuracy
- Support development and implementation of quality plans for new products
- Ensure effective line clearance, first‑piece, in‑process, and final inspections
- Oversee non‑conforming product identification, containment, and disposition.
- Lead root cause analysis related to customer complaints, internal quality failures, and supplier defects.
- Implement corrective actions and verify effectiveness.
- Use data to identify trends and proactively seek improvement opportunities.
- Drive waste reduction.
- Ensure accuracy, repeatability, and traceability of all measurement devices.
- Support validation of inspection methods and techniques.
- Provide leadership and direction to Quality Supervisors and Technicians.
- Support training on quality standards, procedures, and customer requirements.
- Promote a culture of quality ownership and accountability.
- Assist in performance feedback and skill development.
- Provide customer quality communication and issue resolution in a timely manner.
- Participate in, support, or lead customer visits, audits, surveys, and technical decisions.
- Interface with suppliers regarding quality concerns and corrective actions.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills to balance multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with internal and external partners.
- Advanced reasoning and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in quality management systems (QMS), especially ISO 9001:2015
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Acute attention to detail with a focus on quality and operational excellence.
- Ability to perform in an office/manufacturing setting and complete repetitive tasks, such as sitting, standing, walking, typing, filing, and telecommunications.
- Minimum travel outside of the local area as needed to support customer quality needs.
- Minimum 3-5 years of Quality Management experience, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, or technical environments.
- A proven track record of revenue growth.
- Experience serving as a primary customer contact.
- Associate degree in a related field, bachelor's degree preferred.
- Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Located in Vineland, NJ (On‑site)
