Overview
SP Industries Inc. is expanding our team in Vineland, NJ and have an immediate opening for a Production Grinder
. In this role, the right candidate will prepare and process scientific glass components by routing materials, setting up and operating grinding equipment, and using precision instruments to ensure quality. This role requires reading technical drawings, maintaining steady production, assisting with part supplies, and keeping a clean, safe work area while following all environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities- Routing material to specific departments for manufacturing
- Set up and operate equipment used to cut/grind/polish scientific glass
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications written in English
- Use a variety of measuring instruments to ensure parts meet quality levels
- Execute sustained production in the grinding department
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Observe all environmental, health and safety rules and regulations (PPE, waste disposal, etc.)
- Assist in managing the supply of replacement parts
- Understand and follow Bills of Materials and process routers
- Assist on special projects as required
- 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing or production environment preferred
- Prior experience with glass handling or machining is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints
- Basic math and measuring skills
- Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Proficiency in English reading and communication
- Computer literacy; ability to use company-specific systems
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
- High School Diploma or GED required

- Attend required health, safety and environmental training
- Report accidents/incidents to supervisor and assist in investigations
- Avoid prank or unsafe conduct
