DescriptionAMI has an exciting cross-training opportunity for Technologists interested in MRI! Whether you are an experienced Technologist or a new graduate, if you are interested in becoming an MRI Technologist, this is a great opportunity to train and prepare in a growing, innovative outpatient imaging facility. Responsibilities of the MRI Technologist include, but are not limited to:- Operating all aspects of the MR scanning unit, utilizing extensive knowledge of the system’s computer and all program modalities to perform scans and transfer images for interpretation;
- Evaluating screening procedures to ensure patient safety in the magnetic field;
- Consulting with the Radiologist and implementing proper scanning protocols;
- Completing daily work schedules and documenting in Zotec and on required forms;
- Monitoring patient flow, accommodating unscheduled patients and add-on studies;
- Performing quality control testing, equipment calibration, and system warm-up/shutdown procedures with proper documentation;
- Reporting maintenance and repair needs to the Chief Technologist/Office Administrator;
- Participating in meetings, in-service programs, continuing education, and other activities;
- Responding to office codes, policies, and procedures to ensure safety and security;
- Demonstrating competency in dealing with patients of all age groups: neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric;
- Performing other duties as assigned.
This full-time, 40-hour per week position involves varying shifts Monday-Friday, with rotating evenings and weekends. Training will be provided across multiple AMI @ Inspira offices in Vineland, Bridgeton, Woolwich, Mullica Hill, Hammonton, Deptford, and Glassboro.
QualificationsCandidates must be current or upcoming graduates of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology, Ultrasound, or MRI program; registered or eligible for registration by ARDMS or ARRT. A current and valid American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support certification is required before employment begins. Willingness to undergo training and certification in venipuncture for contrast media injection is necessary; in-house training will be provided.
Candidates must also be willing to complete the MRI Cross Training program and pass the ARRT MRI registry.
