MSS Machinist Assistant

* Must be 18 years of age or older
* Must have a high mechanical aptitude
* Must be able to accurately read a tape measure
* Must be able to convert fractions and decimals
* Must be able to work while sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching
* Must be able to lift 60 lbs and work at elevated heights as needed
* Must have good safety record on lift and other equipment
* Willing and able to work flexible hours to support the needs of customers, including overtime, sometimes with same day notice
* Must be able to pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
* Willingness to travel is required upon promotion to Technician level
* Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record
* Must have ability to obtain a passport

Must have basic carpentry and painting skills Must have ability to precisely measure parts with a caliper & micrometer Must have knowledge of a dial indicator Must have previous experience with use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and powered pallet jacks, or related equipment

Proficiency with Word, Excel, Crystal Reports, OMS and Prism or ability to quickly attain knowledge of computer applications

High level of organizational skill and ability to effectively redirect efforts on short notice as needed

Previous experience in a machine or maintenance shop in a manufacturing environment General knowledge of the day-to-day operations of shipping & receiving

Working with drivers on load numbers, time, dock location Provide back-up coverage and other duties, as assigned

Climb ladder or sling to perform assigned maintenance tasks  Must be a team player and be willing to assist in other job functions to fulfill key measures throughout the facility as needed
