Job OverviewPalliative care is care that reduces the severity of disease or condition with curing it. Symptom management and goal discussions are paramount to the role. This will be an experienced nurse who demonstrates competency in all aspects of job requirements, is self‑motivated and will take an active role in patient and staff education and performance improvement initiatives. The Palliative nurse will help to ensure each referred patient received information and guidance on a plan that is based on the wishes of the patient.
The Palliative Care nurse will work with an interdisciplinary team including MD, Social worker, chaplain and APP.
Education:

Experience:
Three years of related experience. Requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.
- GEORGIA REGISTERED NURSE LICENSE OR MULTISTATE NURSING LICENSE
- Current Georgia License. Multistate license preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience with palliative care, home health services, and or hospice care.
- Ability to function with a synergistic team
