Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption, usage and ultimately guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the check lanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

  • Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services
Typical Day / Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks
  • Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs
  • Inform guests about current promos, store activities and events
  • Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store and in your area to solve issues and improve the guest experience
  • Inform guests about Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed
  • Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with safety standards and company best practices
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
  • Explain how to use Target App features, including Wallet
  • Know how to direct guests to Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering, and enroll/activate/use these features
  • Handle returns following policy prompts and escalate to Leaders as needed
  • Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area; manage unpurchased items and supplies
  • Stock supplies during store hours while remaining available to guests
  • Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards
  • Support guest services such as order pick up, Drive-Up orders and returns, maintaining compliance with laws
  • All other duties based on business needs

Additional Basics
  • Accurately handle checkout operations and support cash office tasks as needed
  • Scan, move merchandise safely; capability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally
  • Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance
  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions, including Drive-Up and carryout duties
